Climate:
Israel enjoys a fine climate most of the year, with periodic rainfall between late October and April.  Even in December and January, rainy periods are interspersed with many sunny days.  There is little or no rain in the Dead Sea and Eilat regions.  The temperature is measured in Celcius.

Summer (June through early September):
Temps in the high 80s, 90s.  Tel Aviv and Tiberias will be hot and humid (ala New York city or Miami).  Jerusalem is dryer and cooler, particularly at night.  Dead Sea, Masada, and Eilat are EXTREMELY hot 110 plus...but dry.  There is no rain throughout Israel.

Spring and Fall (late March through May, & late September through November):
Daytime temps can be very pleasant: around 60 - 70 in most of the country (still hot, though, at the Red and Dead Seas).  Jerusalem can be in the 40s and 50s in the evening.  There may be some rain, but nothing torrential.

Winter (December through early March):
Winter weather fluctuates.  Some winters are mild and sunny, some severe and overcast.  There is often heavy rain, in January and February, even snow sometimes (it rarely sticks for more than one day). It can be 40s,50s, and 60s in most places, even Jerusalem, but colder at night in places like Jerusalem and up north.
